Little Bobby has a story that he asked me to share. He knows you're going to love it, because its true. Once Upon a Time...a Doll Artist started making a surprise portrait doll of her nephew. A few things in the painting did not quite go right. Before he knew it, the little baby was lost in inventory - not knowing when he would ever be finished. Then one day, a beautiful lady saw his picture and it was love at first sight! The Artist was hesitant to sell her nephew, at first. But at the same time, like the baby, she didn't know when he would get finished. "He'd be so much happier in a home where he's being loved," she thought, "than sitting unfinished in my workshop." So she gave him a "boo boo" price and a deal was made. He was rescued from inventory! This little baby was finally going home! Where a partially rooted section of hair once was, he got beautifully painted hair. His sweet eyes turned from brown to blue. He even got a new name too! This almost forgotten baby was finally born! Realizing that she was going to miss this little guy, the Artist put extra love into sending him off. He was dressed with love and packed with care. After a few days in transit, he was finally there. He was finally HOME. And he and his new Mommy lived happily ever after. The EndSee the rest of Bobby's photo shoot on his new page!

I must admit I'm feeling a little emotional. The boo boo doll I never finished today has finally been born! I'm pleased to announce: Robert "Bobby" Hugo Price was born October 7, 2015 at 1:15pm 20" long, 72.2 oz Before packing him up, I'm going to take a few pictures. Once he's gone, the photos will be all that I have left of him.
Bobby is very happy and excited to finally go home! Bobby's in his final preparations to go home. Today is Glues and Goos. For gorgeous lifelikeness, I added some very fine blonde eyelashes. I also set and glued his beautiful Stormy Blue eyes, glued the magnet for his paci and sealed the eye sockets with glaze for perfect newborn teary eyes. He looks a little like a space alien with the wet glaze in his eyes. But don't worry, it will clear up in a few days. :) To give Bobby the perfect lifelike baby-powder matte skin texture, I spent some time sealing the painting. He's going to be so sweet! To prepare little Bobby for his journey home, I've given him some beautifully hand painted hair. He has warm brown hair with light brown highlights that were delicately added in several layers. He's being sold at a boo boo baby discount because I am covering a small section that was previously rooted on the brown of his head. Little Logan has been adopted! His mommy changed his name to Bobby and has given him blue eyes. I have several different colors of blue in my workshop. Which one do you like the best? (Click the photo to enlarge) Personally, I really like the little brown flecks in the Stormy Blue. Just my two-cents. LOL
Like any proud aunt, I've got a portrait doll of my nephew in the making. I even hand painted and shaded his eyelids to match the shape of his eyes.
Such a cutie! But he still seems to be missing something...oh, yes - Hair! :) |
